Meet Dr. Patel
Dr. Munir Patel is a highly trained plastic and hand surgeon with advanced expertise in reconstructive, microsurgical, peripheral nerve, and aesthetic surgery. He is known for combining exceptional technical skill with a calm, compassionate approach—treating every patient with the same care and attention he would offer his own family. His philosophy centers on thoughtful evaluation, clear communication, and achieving results that restore both form and function with precision and artistry.
Dr. Patel cares for the full spectrum of hand and upper extremity conditions—including fractures, tendon injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, stiffness, and complex trauma. He also treats a wide range of nerve disorders, such as brachial plexus injuries, peripheral nerve reconstruction, and post-amputation nerve pain. His reconstructive expertise includes complex microsurgery, limb salvage, lymphedema surgery, and reconstruction after cancer or trauma.
In addition to his reconstructive work, Dr. Patel trained in the full breadth of aesthetic surgery in South Florida—one of the world’s leading centers for cosmetic innovation—learning advanced techniques in body contouring, breast augmentation, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, and facelift surgery under some of the field’s foremost experts. This experience allows him to unite form, balance, and artistry in both reconstructive and cosmetic outcomes.
Dr. Patel completed his Hand Surgery Fellowship at the University of Miami / Jackson Health System, training under world leaders in microvascular and peripheral nerve reconstruction. Prior to that, he completed Plastic Surgery residency at Cleveland Clinic Florida, where he served as Chief Resident, and General Surgery residency at Mount Sinai West in New York City, where he also served as Chief Resident. His extensive and diverse background provides a strong foundation for managing a wide range of surgical challenges with confidence and care.
Patients and colleagues describe Dr. Patel as precise, patient, and deeply committed—a surgeon who listens closely, explains clearly, and strives for the best possible outcome every time.
